Hi Dawn,
I am writing to you to let you know the type of service I received from DD store located at 283 Middlesex Ave, Medford. In all my years going
to DD I have never experienced anything like this.
I work the midnight shift, I stop at dunkins every night for an extra large black coffee. I usually go to the one at Wellington Circle or the one
on Commercial St. Medford. I hadn’t used the one on Middlesex for awhile.
On My 2 Tuesday night I stopped at dunkins ordered my coffee and went on my way. When I got to work the coffee was horrible, I had to dump it. I was really dying for that cup of coffee.
On Wednesday night May 3rd,I went by the store let the server know what happened. I got to the window and he wanted to charge me $2.66. I explained it again. He proceeded to tell me about his cash draw not balancing out. We went back and fourth for a bit and I told him that I didn’t care about the cash draw and I wasn’t paying for the coffee. Needless to say this has never happened to me before. I’ve been to many many, many DD.
The whole Incident did not sit well with me. I decided to call store manager on the morning of May 4th. She was very nice and apologized
for my bad experience and said I could go in that night to get a free coffee. I took her up on the offer.
That same server was there , he told me that I already received a free coffee and I was not getting another. I informed him that I spoke to the manager and she suggested I go in and get a coffee. Some young man came out of the back asked what was going on and said he had
to call the manager to confirm what I said. Mind you a CUP of coffee. Then the young man said that he would give me a coffee and proceeded to tell me that I would get no more free coffee from them. Then He asked if I had a DD card I said that I did. He told me to put money on it
because I was not getting anymore free coffee.
These two men were clueless. They should both be taken off the floor and given a course on how DD does customer service business. I am beside myself with this treatment.
I know every so often one gets a bad coffee or wrong coffee. If it’s happened to me a dozen times through out the years it’s a lot. Never have I experienced anything like this.

Incredible. And, like you said, all this for a cup of coffee. And we’ve heard such nice stories about DD customer service. It’s probably down to sheer luck. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, though it is quite a story.
